Vietnam by Vietnam Airlines
Vietnam here I am!
Once again I went to Asia! This time it’s the company Vietnam Airlines who offered me to go on an adventure with them for a week-long visit of the country, for the launch of their new A350 fleet and their direct flights between Paris and Vietnam!
A Vietnamese national airline and member of the SkyTeam alliance since 2010, Vietnam Airlines serves 21 domestic destinations and 29 international destinations with more than 360 daily flights. The headquarters of the company is located in Hanoi and its network is articulated around the airports of Hanoi (Han) and Ho Chi Minh City (SGN) in Vietnam.
From Paris, Roissy - Charles de Gaulle Airport Terminal 2E (CDG), Vietnam Airlines operates up to 14 direct flights per week to Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City. Thanks to the TGV AIR agreements with SNCF, Vietnam Airlines passengers can connect more than 19 provincial cities by TGV to Roissy station to catch their Vietnam Airlines flight.
Since October 2015, Vietnam Airlines makes its France-Vietnam routes by A350. The Vietnamese national airline offers its customers more comfort on board with its latest generation aircraft, equipped with a choice of three cabins; Business Class, Premium Economy and Economy.
Vietnam Airlines is a 4-star airline according to Skytrax for the quality of its services.
Ready to follow me in Vietnam ?!
Arrived in Ho Chi Minh City early in the morning, we begin the visit by the Grande Poste, a jewel of architecture, with French influence by A. Foulhoux and H. Vildieu in 1886, where sits the portrait of the founding father of the city !
Then stroll through the streets to one of Ho Chi Minh's most famous hotels.
The Continental Saigon Hotel ! Built in 1880 during the French colonial period, it is also very famous for being one of the important places of Indochine movie.
Let's continue the visit of Ho Chi Minh (formerly Saigon), its buildings, its narrow streets, its markets and its ... very busy traffic!
Wake up to the Majestic Hotel, almost a century old, it’s the only 5-star hotel in the city. Small visit and breakfast!
Departure for the Mekong Delta for a picturesque cruise! The Mekong (4900km long) is born in Tibet, 5200m high, then crosses the Yunnan, Burma, Thailand, Laos, Cambodia and ended its race in Vietnam to throw itself in the sea of he East.
Then leaving for Can Tho, in the heart of the Mekong Delta, the city lives mainly from river activities and rice growing. And a short to Tay Do's night market.
This morning we get up early, very early! On the way to the Cai Rang Floating Market, the largest and most scenic of Mekong Delta! One of my 2 favorite moments of this trip, it was fabulous!
A break for talking about this girl ! She's Ornella from Les Exploratrices, you'll see her more often on the next pics. Why this break? Because she's trully one of my 3 favorite people with whom I enjoyed travelling the most during 2017! Always in good mood, smiling, kind as she's beautiful, who mean super kind! It was such a pleasure to meet you Ornella!
We then head to the city of Can Tho for a stroll through the markets and different streets of the city, before leaving for a magical destination!
Con Dao, a paradise on earth!
Here's the fabulous Poulo Condor Boutique Resort ! Our stay there was amazing!
Located about 180km from Vietnam's southeastern coast, Con Dao was the seat of a feared prison colony during the French occupation.
Today it is an authentic seaside destination, preserved and natural.
It is an archipelago of 16 islets. Con Dao (also known as Con Son) is the largest island.
What do you think about this sunset ?! So in love with this place!
Change of scenery ... and weather too! We go further north for the discovery of Hanoi. 20°C less ! Unfortunately our flight was delayed, and the discovery was very fast.
So this is a small walk in the streets of Hanoi, hoping to return soon to discover more!
A big thank you to Vietnam Airlines for this fabulous stay, for these flights in Business Class for the first time in my life, it was really great!
I hope to return very quickly to Vietnam, to see even more, and in particular to discover this mythical Ha Long Bay!
