Mont Saint-Michel
Mont Saint Michel, a popular tourist destination in France, is situated on a rocky island in the bay named after it. Its unique architecture and medieval abbey have made it an iconic site. I had the opportunity to visit this historical location in April 2016, just before the Tour de France cycling race. The stunning view of Mont Saint Michel from the mainland, surrounded by a sea of sand, added to the magic of the place, especially during sunrise/sunset. The impressive architecture of the abbey, consisting of different buildings constructed over time, seamlessly merge together to form a magnificent structure. Despite the usual tourist crowds, I was able to find a few peaceful spots to capture the beauty of Mont Saint Michel in photographs.
