Amara Cay Resort
Amara Cay Resort is a must if you want to take a break in Islamorada! And if it's not planned, this resort is a good excuse to stop in this little corner of paradise!
During my stay in the Florida Keys, I had the great opportunity to spend two nights at the Amara Cay. Overall I did not find a better place to relax during my four-week trip in the US !
The Amara Cay Resort was the first hotel, which reopened in 2018 after the Hurricane Irma in 2017. Despite the big damage on Islamorada, and the hotel in particular, the Amara Cay is magnificent, as if nothing has happened.
I take you to visit it with me, it will be easier!
This is the room where I stayed! I don’t know if I can call it a room as it’s so big. It’s more likely to call it an apartment with a kitchen, living room and bedroom!
And the welcome was great!
Let’s go downstairs to the communal areas, with the lobby and the huge relaxation room. It includes a bar and the Reelburger restaurant, where I ate a really great burger ! The Key Lime Pie was just excellent !
After having a little workout at the gym to compensate all of that, let’s have a little tour on the private beach of the hotel, a real gem ! It’s quiet, beautiful and filled with palm trees. Just like in a dream!
Amara Cay also has sister properties! In the second night, we enjoyed the sunset in one of them at the Tiki Bar, followed by a great dinner at the Ciao Hound !
We end the trip with a moment of relaxation at the Amara Cay pool, another highlight of the resort!
